STRATEGY I - INFLUENCE
STRATEGY F&B – FAME AND BUSINESS
STRATEGY I&B - INFLUENCE AND BUSINESS
For some reason, too many people tend to use F&B. In most cases, this is a mistake.
FAME AND BUSINESS means you're famous and getting hundreds of interactions on your posts. People start recognizing you at social events and you receive inquiries from potential customers/applications from potential employees.
Sounds good so far, right?
Assuming you get there. The F&B strategy requires talent, hard work, and luck. Few people can become true movie stars. Rock stars. LinkedIn stars. However, it is realistic to become one;
But it's not likely. And if you do become one, there's no guarantee it will last.
Some of you understand this, and that's exactly what discourages you from communicating on LinkedIn in general.
Some of you understand this and try anyway.
Few of you have chosen strategies I (INFLUENCE) or I&B (INFLUENCE AND BUSINESS).
I - means you're comfortable publishing just one post per week and delivering your thoughts only to a narrow target audience. Which in many cases is the best way. Most cost-effective. You don't need to become famous among a broad audience: what you need is to influence a key target group.
I&B - means you also need to secure business meetings with those target people who have been influenced by your communication. Most of them won't write you an inquiry; therefore, you must send them a private message yourself.
The magic is that in many cases it will work and they'll be happy to meet with you!
Remember that on LinkedIn you'll already be connected, and it's wise to evaluate data to determine whether the other party had genuine interest in your communication.
Here's an example of such data analysis:
Who exactly reads your content on LinkedIn? Let's look at names - https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/kdo-p%25C5%2599esn%25C4%259B-%25C4%258Dte-v%25C3%25A1%25C5%25A1-obsah-na-linkedin-pod%25C3%25ADvejte-se-jm%25C3%25A9na-forejtek/?trackingId=5Wa8HEqyR6WZ4cPgPQTMXw%3D%3D
And you need to write a good private message.
And that's all. If you set your expectations and strategy accordingly, there's much less chance of disappointment.
Good luck.
