What Kind of LinkedIn Posts Will Deliver the Best Results in 2026?

Here is the main reason why I like Richard van der Blom’s Algorithm Insight Report:

While my team analyses tens of thousands of LI post, he analyses 1,3M. Here are key takeaways that you need to know now:

- - -
Posts without hashtags now outperform posts with hashtags by 5–10%.

Document posts (a.k.a. carousels): 1.39x reach.

LinkedIn brings back the Video Tab
and video is picking up in the algorithm again.

Polls hit a 1.78x reach multiplier - highest of any format. Engagement multiplier: 0.37 - lowest of any format.

Text-only posts under 600 characters underperform sharply.

Two text-only posts back to back costs you -25% reach on the second. Rotate your formats on purpose.

Engagement pods get detected at 97% accuracy. The algorithm learns to discount your real engagement too.

Company Pages grew impressions +33% this year. Engagement fell -6.2%. More eyes. Fewer people who care.

Employee posts get engaged with 2x more than the same content from the brand page. Your people are your distribution channel.

New and mid-sized accounts routinely outperform bigger ones per post.

Here is the original source: click. I choose to quote what I feel is the most important part and what matches our own data and experience.

BUT, our partners from Great Britain informed us that LinkedIn has launched a separate feed for vertical videos again.

This is essentially TikTok for Business.

So, while the above-mentioned data are important, they will likely become outdated very soon. My best guess is that the next report in October of this year will prove that vertical videos will become the key to LinkedIn's success in 2026.
