Stop arguing about corporate ambassadors on LinkedIn. Here are the key principles:

Principle No. 1

Personal profiles of the employees ARE NOT the property of the company.

Principle No. 2

Employees and business owners ARE the best options for your company’s communication on LinkedIn.

Principle No. 3

If your team member actively communicates on LinkedIn, it DOES NOT mean that he or she is searching for a new job.

Principle No. 4

A personal brand DOES make your own employee more valuable on the job market and, thus, potentially more expensive to your company.

Principle No. 5

A personal brand DOES help the employee to achieve his or her real-world tasks since it makes him (or her) more interesting and trustworthy to the key counterparts.

Principle No. 6

You SHALL provide your employees adequate courses and guidelines regarding their LinkedIn profiles, since they might also unintentionaly hurt your company.

Principle No. 7

If you are spending time and effort on LinkedIn communication, DO set up clear and realistic KPIs and deadlines for achieving them.

That sounds fine, but what happens if a conflict arises?

Or how should we handle it when the ambassador leaves the company?

We will be discussing exactly that at our next group meeting this week.
